Helpful resources

I am just one person, with just one personal experience of God, having encountered only some tiny fraction of the viewpoints and questions of other humans who have lived. If my journey can help you, well, it’s hard to imagine what could be more precious to me, apart from Christ Himself!

But if you find your curiosity grows as your searching deepens (I know mine still does, too), that is why I have included a bunch of other people’s perspectives here, so that you can ask your questions widely. Of course, I’ve included only resources I think are compelling and helpful – if you want resources I think are unhelpful, they certainly exist, but you’ll have to go find them yourself. :)

A finely crafted wooden cross made of warm, honey-toned oak stands alone on a smooth stone surface, its grain clearly visible and edges gently worn, symbolizing long contemplation. Behind it, an open leather-bound Bible lies slightly out of focus, pages softly curled. Late afternoon sunlight filters through an unseen window, casting a golden glow that outlines the cross and creates a gentle halo of light on the wall. Photographic realism, eye-level composition with shallow depth of field, calm and contemplative mood, clean and modern aesthetic, emphasizing truth, meaning, beauty, and purpose without any human presence.
A small, weathered stone church with a simple steeple rises from a mist-covered hillside, surrounded by dark evergreen trees and a sweeping valley fading into the distance. The building’s rough gray stones and wooden door are rendered in high photographic detail, with delicate patches of moss at the base. Cool, soft pre-dawn light bathes the scene, with a faint glow in the sky hinting at sunrise. The mood is reverent and searching, captured from a slightly elevated angle with a wide lens, creating depth and space for reflection, minimal and professional in style.

An open Bible rests on a dark walnut desk, pages illuminated by a single brass desk lamp with a warm, focused beam. The thin, slightly translucent pages reveal faint text from the opposite side, and a slim red ribbon bookmark lies across a passage. In the background, out of focus, are neatly stacked notebooks and a simple wooden cross standing upright. Photographic realism with a clean, modern aesthetic, shot from a slightly elevated angle with shallow depth of field. The mood is quiet, intellectual, and reverent, emphasizing careful study and shared search for truth about Christ.
